Police Update

The police report for December 2014 showed two incidents in Antony/Wilcove,
consisting of one theft and one instance of criminal damage.

Community & Village Updates

  • Wilcove Inn Foreshore: The Clerk will send a letter to the Landlord of
    the Wilcove Inn requesting that the foreshore be tidied following a bonfire
    and fireworks display.
  • Wilcove Village Sign: Cornwall Council has approved the design and
    wording for the proposed Wilcove Village sign, and the Clerk will now
    proceed with ordering its manufacture.
  • Ring O' Bells Pub: The Parish Council understands that the Ring O'
    Bells pub in Antony Village is now under new management and is expected to
    open by the end of February 2015.
  • Village Maintenance: Quotes are being sought from three separate
    gardeners for the village cuts contract for Antony and Wilcove.
  • Boomerang Television: Flyers for a new television programme will be
    available in both the Antony and Wilcove Village Halls.
  • Coombe Hill Wall: Councillor Mrs P Knott will investigate who is
    responsible for repairing the wall on Coombe Hill adjacent to Bird Cottage.
  • Wilcove Telephone Box: The Clerk will forward an email from Cornwall
    Council regarding the future of the telephone box in Wilcove.
  • Parish Council Agendas: All future meeting agendas will be displayed
    in both Village Halls.
  • Pengelly Park Parking: Complaints have been received from residents
    regarding increasing car parking problems at Pengelly Park, Wilcove.
    Councillor Mrs P Knott will investigate this issue.
  • Pengelly Park Health Concern: A complaint concerning a dead rat at
    Pengelly Park has been received; the Clerk will inform the Housing
    Department at Cornwall Council.
  • Planning Applications: There were no new planning applications to
    discuss.

Financial Matters

The Council approved payments for various accounts, including village
maintenance (Strimming Footpaths) and the Wilcove Play Area.

Upcoming Events & Information

  • Rame Cluster Meeting: The next Rame Cluster meeting is scheduled for
    6pm on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015, at the Wilcove Village Hall.
    Questionnaire leaflets for this meeting will be distributed to residents via
    both village halls.
