The Antony Parish Council met on November 20th, 2018, to discuss various ongoing
community projects, important financial decisions, and updates affecting local
services and infrastructure within the parish.
Key Decisions & Updates
- Boundary Commission: The Boundary Commission has reported that Antony
Parish Council will now be included in the Torpoint ward for electoral
purposes. - Tregantle Car Park: The council unanimously agreed to support the proposal
for Peninsula Trust to take responsibility for the Tregantle Car Park. The
car park would be free, and measures would be taken to prevent on and
off-road parking along Military Road. Plans also include developing the land
to feature visitor destination boardings and a centre. The Clerk will write
a letter of support for this initiative.
Community Amenities & Maintenance

installation. Councillor Carter will organise its fitting. - Safety Mirror: The safety mirror has been purchased and is awaiting
installation. Councillor Shepherd will acquire a pole to complete this task. - Playground Repairs: Some repairs are required for equipment in both play
areas. These repairs are in hand, with Councillor Carter agreeing to provide
the necessary materials. - Wilcove to Wacker Footpath: The council is awaiting an update from Mr.
Rideout regarding the status of this footpath. - Wilcove Potholes: Most potholes in Wilcove have been repaired, with the
exception of a large one at the bottom of Pengelly Hill. Councillor Coward

hedges in Wilcove, including those on Pengelly Hill, be trimmed.
Finance Matters
- Solar Benefit Fund: It was approved that the Solar Benefit Fund should be
divided between both villages. Relevant councillors will be responsible for
the expenditure, and the Clerk will provide a schedule detailing the
allocation of these funds. - Precept 2019/2020: The Precept (the amount requested from the local
authority to cover council expenses) for the 2019/2020 financial year was
